Now in our fourth season, the Children's Chorus of Springfield (CCS) provides training in vocal performance and music literacy to elementary-age children in the city of Springfield Massachusetts. We not only inspire a sense of pride and joy in the Springfield community through the choir’s public performances, but are a vivid example to those outside of Springfield of the bright future the city has in its children and the way it cares for and supports them. The children in CCS have deep memories of their place in a city that nourishes their talents.

We're proud to announce that over 50 singers grades 3 through 8, representing approximately 25 public schools, have auditioned for our 2010-2011 season. At the invitation of superintendent Alan Ingram, the season will begin with an August performance for the opening convocation of teachers and principals of the Springfield Public Schools. Another highlight will be our first appearance with the Springfield Symphony Orchestra and conductor Kevin Rhodes.
